Wireless Networking and Distributed Interactive SImulation Laboratory - WINDIS
The WINDIS Laboratory (former LRVNet) was created in 1996 and focuses on the research and development of novel solutions in the areas of ubiquitous computing (wireless sensor networks, context modeling and interpretation) and distributed interactive simulation (training simulation modeling tools and techniques, interactive tools for visualization and collaboration).
The integration of simulations and mobile and wireless networks in Dynamic Data Driven Application Systems (DDDAS) is another of our research focus.
The main application areas include emergency management, critical infrastructure safety and security and distance education.
